11: Delight
03-09-2018
The release was greater
Than the earth itself;
We were let out into
The open night,
Clawing upon the last of the
Brick walls all around us.
We had come
Stumbling through
A journey to
This delight,
A dreamy world
With colors.
Listening, we stood,
And heard trees
And saw grass
And no stones with words.
We were alive in all delight,
We saw that elven moon so bright
The sky above and beyond us all
Was mirrored blue
A heavenly vault.
To golden memories of regret
We sang songs of joy
And sorrowful dread,
But watched as the world sailed past us all
Through tree tops' branches,
Silhouetted and tall.
